Every sport has its own way of moving and its own set of strains. Due to the constant shifting of forces, there is a risk that the hips, knees or, in particular, the feet will be subjected to too much stress.

In order to reduce excess stress, relieve previously damaged structures and improve movement, we have developed our successful NovaPED sports insole models further. The newest findings from sports medicine were put to use in the design. Each model also has a new, stylish design. The high-quality synthetic blanks were produced using proven foil technology. Each model is adapted to a particular sport and contains specific padding and support elements. Our NovaPED sports insets are also characterised by their low height and high level of comfort.

This year Arab Health will also give the starting signal in our 2014 exhibition year. A constantly growing number - meanwhile over 110,000 - of anticipated exhibitors and visitors from all over the world will meet in Dubai from 27 - 30 January. After China, the second highest number of stands will be occupied by German companies this year, which once again underscores the importance and internationality of Arab Health. In addition to congresses and training courses, there will also be much to discover and try out.

The leading international industry event has a new name: OTWorld. For the eighth time now, the world's leading trade fair in the field of orthopaedics and rehabilitation technology will fill the exhibition grounds in Leipzig, where the focal point this year shall lie on research and development. Many national and above all international industry leaders are expected once again under the motto "combining worlds".

As already in the past year, the organisers had to struggle with inclement weather in Oberhof. Snow was laboriously scraped together in the Thuringian Forest. In addition, fog and rain also arose during the event.
Competitions were also moved together from Friday to Sunday because of the holiday.
It was relatively quiet in the container village due to all these circumstances. Nevertheless, quite a few foot analyses and fittings with insoles (e.g. for Japan, Estonia and Slovenia) were able to be performed once again.
The athletes we take care of, Darya Domracheva (Belarus) and Kaisa Mäkäräinen (Finland), dominated the women's sprint and pursuit race.
Andrea Henkel from Thuringia said goodbye to her audience in Oberhof with a 4th place finish in the mass start. She will end her career after completion of this year's Olympic season.
